* The board met today. Ken updated us on the financial details. The old account has been closed and things are well-organized. The board voted to raise club dues to $115/quarter, including RI and District Dues and the mandatory magazine subscription. Incidentally this is our first increase in dues in 5 years, despite increases in RI and District dues.

* John has submitted the Dictionary project District Grant application.
*With understanding, we accept Allie's resignation and hope she can stay in touch during this busy time.

Prez Message
It’s funny how you expect some things to stay the same. Ali Callahan, past president, is
leaving the club; a newborn and numerous other responsibilities have made it difficult for her to remain and make a smooth transition to her new, expanded role. Her
husband, Patrick, will be keeping the family name involved as our President-elect.
Ali was an active participant in the Glendale West club and instrumental in the transition
to a Passport club. For any of you who have started a club, you know this is no easy
task. It is with this in mind that we all thank her for her efforts and look forward to welcoming her back into the club at her convenience.
