* Unfortunately our speaker didn't make it tonight - we hope to Circle Back to Dave McCleary, Chairman of the Rotary Action Group Against Slavery for another meeting.
*Joan offered an update on the online auction. She's asking everyone to contribute auction items. In addition, she's looking for support from local businesses for our youth programs, including the dictionary program. We'll be taking donations through the 5495 Charitable Fund. We'll be using the Givsum platform for the auction. Dates have not been established, but we're considering early December.
*Marco's post about Passport Club has been published on the Rotary Blog.
* Is it time to make a personal Polio Plus contribution? Your $100 donation will be matched to $900 if you support Rebecca's Ride to End Polio (RTEP) in November. She's 14% of the way to her goal. Donate here.
* As always, service projects and events organized by other district 5495 clubs are listed here and in the calendar section of the website. Please let Rebecca know if you have something to add.
From the Prez
We can stay connected without the usual strings of a terra club. Rebecca and I are on our fall color trip. I'm writing this while we are camped in a friend's driveway in Cortez, Colorado. A newsletter article I submitted to RI has been posted on their site. I talk about this very thing - being involved in great things and not having to be in one place. Our format continues to inspire others to do good, wherever they may be.
